The Akai APC40 is a hardware controller developed in collaboration with Ableton, enabling seamless control of the Ableton Live software. At its centre is the clip launch matrix with 40 triggers, making orchestrating clips and scenes in Session View a breeze. Bidirectional communication displays the status of loaded, playing or recording clips directly on the illuminated buttons – orange for loaded, green for playing and red for recording clips. With 109 buttons, 16 endless encoders with LED rings, 9 faders and a replaceable 60 mm crossfader, the controller offers all the tools for electronic music production, live performance and DJing. Thanks to USB class-compliant support, no driver installation is required, and all controls can be reassigned if needed. The robust metal housing ensures longevity in studio and stage use. 2 units are now available in our rental inventory in Switzerland.
