At smARTec, sustainability is not an abstract concept, but something we live every day, with the aim of taking equal account of the environment, society, economy and culture in our activities.

Environmentally friendly events

smARTec offers everything from a single source - thanks to our own materials, staff and vehicles. This gives us control over the entire process and enables us to guarantee that sustainability is taken into account in all areas.

Our high annual investment of several million francs in new, resource-saving technology shows that we are serious about this. We are committed to a sustainable event industry and are a member of Swisscleantech, the trade association for a_CO2-neutral future.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management. smARTec aims for sustainable success. To achieve this, we must align our strategy, efforts, and results with ecological principles and credibly demonstrate our commitment. ISO 14001 is perfectly suited for this purpose, as it defines globally recognized criteria for efficient and effective environmental management systems.

We are Swisstainable. As part of the Swisstainable sustainability program, we are classified at the highest Level III – "Leading." The Swisstainable sustainability program unites businesses and organizations across the entire Swiss tourism sector.

smARTec is a member of the swiss Cleantech business association. Together with over 600 members, we drive change in politics and society, ensuring that Switzerland becomes CO2-neutral by 2050 at the latest.

Material park

Centrally located materials warehouse in Switzerland with short transportation routes.
Large-scale investment in more efficient equipment with the latest technologies.
Continuous conversion of floodlights from conventional lamps (halogen and discharge lamps) to energy-saving LEDs. Only LED headlights are considered for new investments.
Conventional batteries have been replaced by rechargeable batteries (e.g. for radio microphones).

Transportation

Use of modern vehicles with at least Euro 6 emissions standard and Adblue.
Combination of transportation wherever possible.
Employees travel by public transport or together in a crew shuttle.
In 2021, we installed two charging stations for electric vehicles at our head office in Aarau.

Sustainable from Switzerland

We believe in Switzerland as a location because it is the most sustainable solution for the event.
